Garden of Yoga - A space for movement and mindfulness

Garden of Yoga is a welcoming sanctuary in the heart of the city, offering a vibrant and inclusive space for movement, mindfulness and creativity. With a focus on accessibility and joy, the studio provides aerial yoga, meditation and Pilates sessions tailored to individual needs.

Teacher Jo Stewart brings a creative and compassionate approach to teaching, specialising in body positivity and inclusivity.

She encourages students to connect with the full spectrum of yoga—from playful aerial sessions to stillness in yin and meditation. With a deep commitment to adapting practices to suit every individual, Jo ensures that all who step into Garden of Yoga feel empowered, supported and free to explore their own path.

Expanding accessibility for aerial yoga

Garden of Yoga is making aerial yoga more accessible for individuals with diverse physical and neurological needs through a book project, Eight Limbs of Aerial Yoga: Adapting Practice for Accessibility, Neurodiversity, and Physical Support. The book connects contemporary aerial yoga with traditional philosophy, exploring its therapeutic potential and offering modifications for a wider range of abilities.

A YFG grant is funding professional photography to document these adaptations, creating a valuable resource for aerial yoga teachers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehabilitation-focused Pilates practitioners and expressive therapists.

And we’re making an impact.

A huge thank you to the Yoga For Good Foundation...

…for their incredible contribution to our Life Now Yoga and meditation programs!

This generous donation will mean we can buy new yoga equipment, run a new yoga class in Broome, and enhance our meditation program for cancer patients and their primary carers.

Cancer Council Western Australia

Sending out gratitude to the Yoga for Good Foundation.

Their grant is enabling me to offer FREE trauma informed therapeutic movement and relaxation to frontline mental health and social services staff in Bega.

Participants are really valuing the time out for themselves and experiencing integrated poly vagal theory. And I get to be in a teaching space, yay!

PremKranti Counselling
